I have been checking the news release site daily and was beginning to think it was going to be yet another JDM only edition. Still don't know if Canada is getting it and as of Saturday my dealer had no clue it even existed.

Meh. Announced on Motor trend (or any other site) means nothing until that critical Toyota news release come out. That is the single reliable source for info no matter where the other sites say they got it from.

No announcement yet. I don't really care since I don't like the look and it is horrible value for the money but I am curious. There were rumours flying around that the special edition coming was going to be the solar orange with the PP but it looks like it was confused with this thing.

So it's pretty much like the BRZ Limited with stripes but more expensive and only 2 colors to pick from.

Not one thing on this car to improve actual performance. All bling. However, does the plebeian edition of the 86 have an oil temp sender as well?

Nope. Two totally different colours from what I have read. The Super is more red than the solar.

But that's the thing. In this vid, Solar looks a bit red-ish

Oh totally agree that you can never tell from pictures but they said both colours are "totally" unique in all the write ups.
Bad enough with the Lava since even in real life it can look anything from gold to brown depending on the lighting. Sometimes it can look like 6 different colours all at the same time.

I guess the orange highlights inside are better than the camel from the RS2.0 and the yellow from the BRZ.Yellow.

pretty sure it pulls all monitor info off the ECU OBD port. you can get a plethora of reader programs that will do that and display on anything you want (maybe even via beat sonic adapter to your OEM touch screen radio?).
even for the plebian pre-Toyota '13-'16.


mrderp I also find it disappointing that Toyota wont give us the PP. I almost typed that with a straight face.
