At a suspension shop I worked for we had a car come in that had springs about that stiff on the rear end. it was an evo with teins. I still want to meet the guy who thought that was a good idea and ask him about it.

Car got some fancy KW race shocks and much more reasonable rates.

What people are forgetting is the motion ratio at the rear. Spring rate at the rear wheels would only be about 22k so he should be fine.
