As far as the tail pipes ....... how much time do you spend looking at the back of your car .... ?? If you don't think they are even, Bubba suggests you stick a length of water pipe in each one, have a friend heat up the tail pipe at the last bend, and bend them till you're happy.

These jobs are 3 beer jobs, two for you and one for your buddy with the torch.

Thanks for your post! that's what I'm worried about, water building up there. Im Guna try to put them back on myself.. weird thing is, the gap is the same on both sides. Both were replaced.

As for the exhaust. I just want it bent a little bit so I might actually use your idea. I hope it doesn't crack haha! If you were close to where I live I'd toss a beer your way for the idea 😊

Jeez, I should take close up pics of all the mismatched seams on mine and everyone else's that I've seen. No getting around the price point. Fit and finish take a back seat to function.

Personally, that's the way I like it but I'm a cheap old fuddy duddy.

My car after the accident

So I made a quick visit to the body shop again after finding out that my alignment is a bit off. The manager came out and was actually super cool! He apologized for the tail light and the alignment and told me to come in and watch them work on the car. He gave me a tour too. Great guy! The alignment is dead on. Can go straight for days without me touching the steering wheel. The tail light: he moved it around and nothing seemed to make it get any closer than this. There isn't much of a difference but it's a bit better than before

As for the exhaust. I begged him to do it, he said it wasn't touched when they fixed the car and don't want the responsibility. He went on to say it's just cosemetic and that If I really want to, I could try to adjust the tip myself. ( it sticks out a bit more than the other one)

Also this is my exhaust
The tip on the driver side is lower than the tip on the passenger side.

Loool! I don't have OCD but when it comes to my cars, I go above and beyond to make sure they're on point.

Oh man im sorry but this bent exhaust is bothering the hell out of me. Is there a way other than using a torch to straighten it out to look like that passenger side one ?

Garage
Scaffold pole into each tip.
Press down on passenger side and up on driver side.
There! I fixed it!

It is for this reason that I hesitate going forward on a repair. My car sustained a very small dent on my fender. I'm very careful where I park but as everyone here knows, chit happens. The claims adjuster told me the repair would involve removal of front fender and that's when I paused. I've, noticed many complaining of large exterior gaps post repair. Worst, drooping fenders.
