Aha, I wonder if they thought it was me lol. They've enjoyed a nice boost towards fullfilling their ticket quotas the past year, that's for sure.

Well I think they did run my plates first!

Haha! One of my encounters ended with 14 tickets at once! Guess he had a bad case of the mondays.

I have not been pulled over yet but watch them reach for the computer almost every time they get close enough to read my plates.

Reading all these nice posts... but I have yet to receive any love here in Florida. :/

I kinda don't think people give a rats ass about what you drive here. They're only concerned with where they are, and how much longer until they reach their destination.

But I did show some love for another 86, dark gray with young guy driving and older guy on passenger seat, that pulled up beside me. Gave them thumbs up with a big grin and they returned one back. Theirs had a temporary license plate from a dealer, so that must have been nice for them to witness.

The only thing I frequently notice is on the highway, many cars move to the right as I'm coming up behind them. I wonder if they're like "OH SHIT, RACECAR!! MOVE MOVE MOVE" lmao. When it really isn't. Just me and my boxer cruising along. In my other car, people rarely do that. Make me feel a little privileged lol.

I haven't gotten a whole lot of love for the 86 outside of waves from other twin owners yet but it is also bone stock at the moment.

The Z gets compliments on the rare occasion that I actually take it out but I think the Miata gets the most, which is kind of funny because it is by far my cheapest, crappiest car and has a horribly done respray that I haven't gotten around to fixing. People seem to really enjoy the roll bar and fixed back racing seats with harnesses for some reason.

Some random high schooler in a huge truck rolled up next to me while I was filling up at the gas station earlier tonight.

"Sick car bro, does it have NOS?!?!"

Almost lost my shit

The correct response is:

"Used to, but I blew the welds on my intake!"

or

*smile coyly*

Random high schooler, "Oh, you're gonna make me find out the hard way?"

I have noted that BRZ drivers acknowledge fellow BRZ drivers but I have been totally ignored by GT86 drivers.. perhaps they're too busy enjoying their decent OEM ICE or something ..

I think it's a Subaru thing, I get waved at by Subaru owners all the time. Share the love bro
