I second the avoiding trees. I found that birds often poop when taking off (weight reduction?), so nearby perches and trees can be problematic.

I made the mistake of parking under a huge tree during a rainstorm. My SWP BRZ was covered with a different shade of white.

Be careful if you wipe...you don't want to cause scratches. If the bird sh!t is dry, set one of these wipes on it for a few minutes to soften it up. Then wipe carefully.

i get a lot of bird crap on my black raven as well.

every morning before i go i inspect the car and make sure i clean any poop before the hot sun bakes and stains paint

This is why a good wax and sealant will protect your paint and clearcoat from this crap(pun intended!). If done right, it should prevent any of it penetrating the clearcoat.

I think birds have something against white vehicles. My Taco has seen it's fair share of bird poop but it couldn't be worse than this dude.

I believe it. I've owned quite a few cars over the years and the red one absolutely had more poop on it than any other color.
