Prepping for clutch swap, again. My old one was damaged and was causing vibrations. Sucks that the new Exedy stage 1 doesn't work with the older lightweight flywheel they previously included. Oh well, OEM flywheel it is.

New two piece investment casted overpipe installed. It looks so pretty, it really makes my existing exhaust look crummy.

New gtx2867r vs old gt3076r.

Turbo mounted.

Heat shield to protect the sway bar bushing from melting during those 100 degree track days.

Final look at the turbo installed with undertrays on.

Exhaust installation tips for those installing the PTuning turbo kit themselves, this is just from my personal experience. I'm not a professional mechanic.

Not as dramatic as I expected just doing pulls with the boost solenoid active. However on-off-on throttle I can definitely feel the difference, boost ramps up fast. I should really feel a difference on the track. I'm still at least a few weekends out from booking track time. My oil leak returned, albeit a lot smaller leak this time . I'll revisit that after the tune is dialed in.

The induction sound will take some time to get used to, I wonder if its the cobra intake, or just the sound of the turbo.

@rb6freak Hows the clearance now between turbo inlet to the overpipe?

Doesn't touch, not even the steering rack either. The GT28 is so much smaller than the GT30 too so there is actually a lot of room down there. Even the first charge pipe was easier to install this time as it had so much clearance over the transmission.

Loving this turbo, with the solenoid active; I'm at full WG spring pressure from vacuum in what feels like less than a second.

Still dialing in the tune.

Awesome, I am about to pull the trigger on the new overpipes so that is great to hear.

Also, it looks like you have your front anti-roll bar pre-loaded (end links are overextended). Ideally the anti-roll bar "blade" should be as close to parallel with the ground as possible (when the car is on the ground).

Do you have it adjusted that way for some clearance reason?

I don't remember why I set them as seen in the picture, I set them about 3 years ago and never looked back lol. I'll look into readjusting them next time I lift the car. What is the "blade" portion?

The end section of the bar with the hole for attaching the end link. You will most likely need to completely shorten the end link top and bottom to make it flat.

Could you elaborate more on your oil leak?

Also, is there a reason you haven't installed a catch can?

I had an oil leak on the mechanical oil pump, resolved it, and I thought it came back. But I was mistaken. It was just residual oil from reinstalling it the last time.

Setrab series 9 15 row. Seems to be perfect. Other guys have done 25 row but it's too much, however you can track all day long in 100 degree weather lol.

My tuner said I don't need it, and I've checked out others at the track with catch cans. Small amount in the PCV, none in the CCV. For me it's really not worth the extra hoses and etc... Just to save a little blow by burn. The tune handles the detonation if any.

Thanks! I've been seriously considering the Ptuning Turbo kit and it looks like it is really well put together. I still have a year or so before the funds will be made available for boost. Too many home repairs Look forward to more videos on YouTube!

101 octane tune has started

I went a little too high on the duty cycle as I was dialing in the boost settings, however the EcuTek logs looked just fine, no knock, whew!
