Not sure I understand the concern over Scion being gone. Scion wasn't a "company" at any point. It was a marketing division of Toyota. Toyota is still around and so is anything to do with Scion warranties, service, etc. The only change is a badge and the signs at the dealership.

I see where the OP is going. I have to admit I would hesitate to purchase a brand that no longer exists ..... even though technically (as TCoat stated) is does exist. But that's just me.

Personally .... looks like you live in NY. Get whatever car has better amenities. Heated seats would be nice during those NY winters.

I wouldn't hesitate at all, Scion or Subie. Just find a good car, like others have mentioned.

I would agree if Scion was a brand and actually made the cars. They weren't and didn't.

All you guys clamoring for heated seats are pussies.

Are your mangina's so delicate that they can't stand a little bit of cold?

I hate heated seats! As they slowly warm up it feels like you pissed yourself. Once warm you get ass crack sweat while the rest of you freezes.

My wife loved heated seats, but ironically the passenger side heated seat of my BRZ never seemed to work right (very slow to warm up - like 20-30minutes).

If I need to warm my buns, I'll just fart and accomplish 2 goals.

Didn't care much for heated seats, just wear long johns or a jacket and gloves.

If it's strictly a track car, the FRS is probably better.

I hear this all of the time and it's false.

Toyota offered the Limited Model FR-S as a Scion Release Series with the same features of the brz limited it's just different marketing techniques.
My 10 Series and RS 1.0 both are listed as "Limited Models".

From what I was told the 2018 Toyota 86 will be offered with different trim levels.

Thats what I was gonna say. The only thing thats going to change on the car is the badge. Scion closing means nothing to the FR-S/86.
