wow this is just as epic as the Nissan GT-R and Porsche record at the Nürburgring circuit when Nissan used Pilot Sport Cup instead of the stock Dunlops.
They are both good cars just pick your poison. |

Here's how to get new max performance summer tires for free or close to it. A set of Sumitomo HTRZIII is around $450 shipped from TireRack in FT86 sizes. These tires are extremely well reviewed and tested. When you are making your deal with the dealer for the car, get a free mount/balance of the tire swap included in the agreement. Then sell the OEM rubber on Craigslist for 1/2 of list price or $400. I did a version of this and it works out great, although mine included new wheels and required no deal with the dealer since I knew I wanted my stock wheels for winter tires. You are right, faster is not a matter of opinion, you are the one who is having trouble accepting the tremendous difference in tires as the reason for the lap times. If I can find the post with the 3 second differential from tire swap only, I'll link to it. |

I think that's a valid criticism. When I cross shopped, I liked my 370z over the Mustang and Camaro because it felt tighter, smaller. The FRS feels even smaller. Now that I'm looking to replace my daily driver, the bulk is actually appealing to me.

Not saying that they are better than stock, cause I have never used those in particular. But you do know that a tread wear rating from one manufacture has nothing to do with the tread wear rating from another right? 200 UTQG from Kuhmo might be slicker than 200 UTQG from Hankook. Just because they have said number, does not mean they are worse or better than another brand at the same numbers.

It looks like an M1 Tank! I wouldn't mind those cars in the least bit. They are just a tad BIG for me as well. There will be plenty of time for purchasing HUGE cars, when I'm 60-70+yrs old that is (so I can protect my brittle bones more..lol). |

![]() I was within a hare's breath of buying a Camaro (probably a ZL1, but was looking at the other end of the Camaro spectrum too) but decided to go with the FR-S instead. I like both sports and muscle cars so I would have been happy with either but I know I made the right choice for me. |

I was just playing into the common stereotype. I will have a Huge vehicle in the form of a Winnebago for traveling and it will trailer my full race car behind it...lol.I definitely appreciate the performance of the Muscle car though. Just not one for me. |
