Opti-coat is the strongest of all coatings or 'paint protection' as people like to call it, with years of proven durability. You certainly got the best mate, you'll enjoy it for years to come. Your right about pricing. Most is for time spent detailing your car. You can buy Opti-coat for $90 here in Australia if anyone feels they're up to the task of doing it themselves. ![]() Jump on www.detailparadise.com.au if you are into detailing! :happy0180: |

Good evening everybody.
Considering the sheer amount of interest that has been expressed either through this forum or via direct enquiry to myself, I thought I would take this opportunity to join this excellent forum and contribute wherever I can regarding paint protection (Opti Guard). It is truly a remarkable and unrivalled product in this market segment producing a fantastic deep shine and very high abrasion resistance (9 on the mohs scale of mineral hardness to be exact). Once again I'd like thank you all for the interest shown and keep those questions coming. If the paint feels rough or has obvious imperfections we will clay bar the vehicle, followed with a finishing compound. Clay barring causes micro swirls and for this reason if the paintwork is smooth we will foam with an APC, followed by a wash with Iron X Gel to decontaminate.

If the second coat is not applied within half an hour, the first coat will repel the second coat.

Nice, i have Fuji Red also, i'll try and get some pics up soon! I originally wanted Black but then i knew i'd spend more time fussing over it and the misses persuaded me to get red, so who was i to argue.
![]() I had mine opti coated by Scott at Superior Shine, man this guy knows a lot of technical stuff about different paint protection products lol, i can highly recommend him! http://www.superiorshine.com.au/paint-protection.html A family friend picks up hes 86 in a week or so and hes getting hes opti coated straight away too. I did a bit of research before i bought the car and wasnt prepared to get stung by the dealer crap again and i have read nothing but good stuff about opti coat so i have no doubt it will do what its meant too! |
