Thanks for that very informative insight! Seems like this could be the coilover for me!

It's rare for people on these threads to have wide brand experience myself included so it's usually positive feedback, regarding the flex they have an inflated RRP, and if you are going to spend in the $2.5k region for them the hypermax, rsr i, and other options [someone else step in] need considering. I have a set of flex on my supra but probably would not pay this price for them.

Nix, I have never been that fond of Tein for similar reasons but I would never go anywhere near an HKS coilover. I have Hypermax in my Evo and they are deadset the worst coilovers ive ever had the displeasure of using.

On paper it seems like Tein Flex is the perfect hybrid between a street and track coilover which suits my needs perfectly. Yes the price is inflated but there are other avenues than just RRP. If you look hard enough you can easily save yourself a couple hundred dollars there.

OT - I'd take that bet =p The company I work for manufactures in China primarily to avoid customs issues, while making products in the US, Israel, and Ireland for reasons along the same lines....and they are a tech company.

I believe that the Tein range goes something like:

Super Steets
Flex
Mono flex
Circuit Master

There's a thread around somewhere with the spring rates.

I'd say that they're not bad in general - superior to stuff like BC racing coil overs, for example, but nowhere near to serious stuff like custom set up KW V3s, ASTs or JRZs.

In short, the Flex and Monoflex ought to fill out the 'middle area' nicely for many people.

Tein makes good products, they wouldn't be this big if they made junk.
How are you liking those iSports coil overs? I'm considering a set. I'm looking to how you feel ride quality compares to stock. I'm looking to lower my car 1"-1.2" but want to keep the ride at least as comfortable as stock.

I have the Tein type Flex on my Nissan Skyline and I love them. Looking to buy them for my FR-S when I get back to the states. The adjustability makes a huge difference.
