That was my though but then I realized you would need to cut them in half right? All 4 are together on a single flange

Each ae111 throttle body is its own individual unit, they're just held together with linkages which can be disassembled.

There would be no point having a map sensor in the manifold as it would not see any vacuum.

Getting it stateside is very easy.
Getting the most out of it depends entirely on user and understanding of tuning ITBs. I wouldn't slap this on a ECUTek car...

Third is a lineup of bolt on turbo kits (¥ 640,000), but the 4th series throttle kit is the first attempt. Although the product that was being exhibited was said to be a prototype stage, it is said that it is almost like a finished product such as completing a test by actual driving.

Feeling obtained in actual driving, "It does not go to the turbo kit with power, but it will greatly increase the response to elongation at high rpm and accelerator operation".
There is no doubt that the feeling unique to NA blowing up to the high revolution range will amplify.
The effect on feeling of pleasantness should be more than turboisation.

Although it is said that it can obtain sufficient effect even with the normal computer as it is, it is said that setting the computer makes it possible to draw out the goodness of the 4th series throttle kit more.
For example, he seems to be considering a set with a computer for owners who wish to further pursue driving performance with circuits and the like.

Formal release will be scheduled around the summer. By the way, because it assumes sales and installation at dealers etc, it can be said that quality and reliability are outstanding as well as performance.

So a full stand alone would really be needed to tune for this appropriately? Or just need to run their tune on whatever software they use in the end?

Sorry, I should say "I wouldn't slap this on a remotely tuned ECUTek car..."

Many people like to throw out some base maps and have someone remotely tune it for them. My experience is that to maximize your investment, you'd want full stand alone.

Far too many people I know spend thousands of dollars on their engine, and go for the cheapest possible tune that works.. it was like this 20 years ago with 8-bit ECUs, it's like this today with whatever 16/32/64-bit ECU we have now...

Yeah, I know what you mean. You would think paying a couple hundred bucks more for a dyno session after spending $3k on engine mods or FI would be a no brainer
