I just got an update. My BRZ is showing on the rail or awaiting to be loaded on the rail, shouldn't be too much longer now. ETA still shows as 2/2/2017, which sounds about right.

What do you mean by "on the rail?" and where'd you get that info from? o.O

ALRIGHT! Finally put in my order. Dark Grey Metallic, Performance package, rear bumper applique, and cargo tray for $27,739. I'm pretty darn happy with the deal, and definitely psyched to finally be getting a BRZ! March delivery can't come soon enough.

My dealer was even kind enough to put a note on my order not to remove the plastics or drill the bumper. I will say that I took @BRZ FAMILY FUN's advice and did get Costco pricing on it, though I ended up taking that to my preferred dealer and they were happy to match it. Definitely worth the extra couple of phone calls for another $500 off and still being able to buy through the my favored dealer.

I have weather techs in my '17 BRZ, I had the OEM all seasons in my '15 FR-S. The weather tech laser cut are vastly superior to OEM, highly recommend them.

"On the rail" was meaning the car was now loaded onto a train to be transported to a local depot (from the coast, to a more inland area). I am not sure, but from past experience this usually means the car is about 7 to 14 days away from the dealership. Delays can happen, and of course status updates may not be in real time....so there is some disparity there.

And, my salesman and I got the info when we checked the computer and logged into the Subaru/dealership website. I dont know what its called, but it is
how the dealerships can track Subaru inventory, and reserve stock.

The laser cut ones are the more expensive ones right? IIRC weather tech sells two different types.

But yeah that's the plan!
