Sooo.... the autosocks are instead of winter tires?

Anyway, store your winter tires cold, dark and dry; to keep the rubber from ageing.

We had about a 1/4 inch of ice on everything when I went to bed at 10 last night. I got up this morning and it was all gone and just pissing normal rain. If the temp hadn't gone up we would have been screwed!

This is the most bizarre winter in my memory since we have had almost no "normal " winter weather and it has been relatively warm. So far this year only 3% of the Great Lakes are frozen over instead of the 40 to 50% they should be by now. So far this year most of our weather has come up from Texas and Louisiana and that has kept us clear. If we get a cold wind out of the north we are going to get buried.

We had like 10cm of snow early last week that all melted away within a few days. Toronto is warm af this week.

I think some people say the jet stream's been broken in recent years.

"Relatively" warm! All the cold air must be going around us and headed to you. Depending on where you are in Iowa you could also be several hours north of me! Instead of the close to zero we should be we are hovering around the freezing mark. We have had many days where we hit 45 degrees or higher. Supposed to be around 40 to 45 all this week. It scares me a little!

Your line is a couple hours south of me but that shouldn't make much difference

Don't worry the warm rain is headed your way and should be there in a couple of hours. I left London at 7 with no ice in sight. Got to Woodstock about 45 minutes later and still ice there. Now it is all gone here as well. You should be good around 11.
