Hmmmm might have to buy some of those.

Been a week since I last drove the BRZ. I've been afraid I wouldn't be able to make it back up my driveway.
Hoping the rain tomorrow knocks most of it outta here.

I'm worried about making it down Going Street Hill tomorrow morning without it turning into a toboggan ride.

It's going to be ugly. Ice Storm Warning

Luckily I don't have to drive anywhere until Wednesday morning.

You can be like this truck driver and drift the whole way down.

I have a feeling you'll be very thankful. I'd rather drift someone else's wheels than be bouncing off of curbs with my own. :/

They have a mixed reputation here in Norway.
I've never tried them myself so I really don't know, but the word is that if you put them on when you're really stuck, you're still stuck.
And you can't drive around with them because they wear out. So you have to predict when you're going to get stuck and put them on just before.

These, however, I've used and can vouch for:

They will, of course, tear the wheel arches off most modern cars, but they will get you moving.

Hey, they're worthless if she can't do it herself. Now she's confident she can handle the situation should the need arise.

Ha, I bought winter tires just so I can drive in the mountains around my home. It rarely snows here in the valley. It can require chains to cross the Trinity Alps during inclement weather. But it usually just gets cold and rainy here. The same as it does for coastal PNW.

Last month I was driving at 2500' and hit snow on the return. I might make a couple trips a year to Redding. The lake is at 3000' and it gets snow. So I figured I'd get my money's worth if it means more mobility and saves me from one mistake.

I may be working in your town soon. They have a couple of IT spots open at the school district.

If my buddy's place reject me, I'll put in an app and see if they would give me a chance.

Ooooo we can finally meet and have lunch!

No worse than chains. If you're stuck you'll never get them on. I'm all for options.

Those clamp-ons look neat!

Quite right. Chains are nasty contraptions.

I finally broke down and ordered my winters. It will all have thawed by the time they get in but I'll be ready for next year.
