Cipher or NRG harness bars

Anybody have good/bad experiences to share about either?
(Yes I know they're not nearly as good as a cage, which I will get eventually so I won't go the roll bar route. I'm only doing DEs for now and want to use harness and seats, so please restrict the safety criticism as you're preaching to the choir here lol)

Why not just get a CG-Lock for the OEM seatbelt? If you know you're going to get a cage anyways, no point in spending the money for a roll bar when you're just going to rip it back out down the road.

Essex has a really nice harness bar as well, though it's a bit spendy.

No experience with one myself regardless, but I was considering options for a while.

Both cipher and nrg are under $200, so I can accept cost as a temporary investment. Roll car aka half cage is different ($1300-1500) all in with labor, so that's different. Plus I want to run sparco or corbeau seats, so need a harness.
Essex is great but $600 not a good investment for something temporary in my plans.

Gotcha. I figured if that + the harness were simply for the extra stability in the seat, the CG lock would a cheap and effective alternative.

I've only dealt with roll bars/cages, so I have no experience with harness bars.

I just placed an order for a Cipher as well. I bought the "frs/brz-specific" one, even though I suspect that's the same as the generic 49" one just more expensive.
