Drove a mitsubishi outlander sport today. For funsies, I put it in manual mode (kinda gimmicky since it had a CVT) and floored it in "first".

Holy hell, it pulled. Shifted to "second" and it kept going. Instant throttle response, no delay. The thing has a bit of torque on the low end half of the rev range. I was smiling, never thought an SUV would cause that..

Sorry. Will be sure to accomodate that from now on.

But this is as big as it gets evidently. Might need to petition ichi to fix that for ya. Just remind him he will be your age someday

Any car can have TQ and decent gearing to feel that way. Especially in lower gears. It still isnt anything if it can handle a little bit at least.

I have always loved the the 04-06 Forestor XT but would be afraid to actually own one cuz I hate driving big cars, even family sedans. So while people love them (its basically the sti chassis and engine with a smaller turbo) it does have that higher center of gravity and may still let me down. And you know what they say about meeting your heros

Even if I admit to slobbering over a girl 3 times my size while in a drunken stupor?

Hypothetically, of course.
