drove home in a snow storm

My wife and I picked up our new steel manual Toyota 86 on the 30th of December at ScrantonToyota.

The weather report was for a few snow flurries but nothing to worry about. So we did a little shopping and stopped for lunch.

Coming out of the eatery we were taken back by the one inch plus of snow on our car. Seems the snow flurries decided to turn into a snow tantrum...

The road was snow covered with two tracks where cars had gone through before turning the snow to ice... Lots of traffic, all moving slow and stopping at times... We slipped a little bit three or four times but that was the only problem we had.

I am so impressed with the way this car handled and got us home safe and sound! And that was on summer tires, to boot!

I hope spring comes quickly so I can enjoy this great handling on some dry curvy roads!

New Member here

Hola
I think you its only good manners to properly introduce myself.
I would love to have a modified FR-S.
I love the body style.
I also like that this car offers nice platform to tune.
I spend most of my year in Mexico, but collect cars in the United States.
Not a serious collection, but as much as my garage will hold.
My Daily Driver in Mexico is a 2010 Ford Focus RS with a light tune.
In the United States I drive a 1988 BMW M3.
I have a couple of other classic cars, but am always on the hunt for more.
I look forward to receiving some knowledge on these cars as you do not see any here(Mexico). Maybe one day I can add to the Ford.
Thanks in Advance

Bought a 2017 86 in Halo for my wife. She is enjoying the car.

We had matching 2013 subaru's. Mine was a WRX and hers was an Outback in ISM. I traded my WRX for a Jeep JKU in August to have a more utilitarian vehicle. She simply wanted to something that was not a Mommy car with our youngest being 19 and almost independent.

New here? Come say hi =)

Hi. I'm Rob and I bought a '15 w/10k on it New Year's Eve. I only got to drive it home. Not planning on driving it until spring. I can't wait for warm weather. Headed for DS(solo). I have a line on wheels and a sway bar so far.

Smile New FRS Owner!

Hello guys, I wanted to introduce myself. I just recently purchased a white 2013 FRS with the 6 MT. Im loving the car and I'm glad I found such an active community. A lot of questions have already been answered and I'm sure my many future ones will be too So far she's stock but I'm looking for wheels and coilovers for this summer! Besides a pesky window switch its smooth sailing for me. Im going to use this as my build log as well (sorry if this isn't the right place, if a mod could move it I would appreciate that) I attached some pics for you guys too, enjoy!

every so often when i roll the passenger side window down, it refuses to go back up. Most of the time I leave it for a little while and it goes back. I read over here that I need to re-initialize the switch (since it flashes) but I've tried and it just keeps happening again. I can live with it for now as its not the drivers side plus its winter
