^Was just about to mention this. The red USDM Tom's on the other hand, like the ones I have, don't. Shameless plug, if you can wait a few more weeks, mine are about to go on sale. For you my friend, special price

Curious, has anybody used this stuff?

https://www.amazon.com/Torco-Acceler.../dp/B004ZO3VN0

I've used octane booster on my bikes before, but never on a car. Just was wondering since I don't really have anything like the Sunol Super Stop near my area.

Hmmm, not entirely sure what you mean. It does come with an adjustable relay, so you can go from "dying battery" slow to "ricer" fast blinks.

Oh interesting and timely post, I just tried a bottle of this stuff to see if it would raise my ADV Multiplier: https://www.amazon.com/104-10406-Oct...2952993&sr=8-4

It is now up to .30 instead of .10. So, doesn't seem like it did very much.

My mistake regarding the relay, I thought that the relay was required for those first gen Toms and that it could not be adjusted.

I didn't know you could adjust the relay? Is it some kind of knob/switch? The stock setting for my red Toms seems pretty OEM looking (which is what I'm going for)

Actually, scratch that, I forgot I replaced the relay for my Toms with an adjustable one. The ones that came with the Toms were garbage, got stuck on the on position one afternoon and drained my battery over night leaving me stranded the next morning. Power pack to the rescue!

What power pack do you use?

Ok this is sounding more and more lame. $450 for something that might melt and comes with a cheap garbage relay.

Perhaps I should just spring for 2017 tails, only $250 more!

Just wait a year. The used market will be flooded with people wanting anything but stock tails. +600 for tails is kind of crazy.

I got a cheap adjustable flasher relay in the mean time, waiting for VLEDs to have a sale so I can order more LEDs and their flasher. I tested it out. Can go from stupid/funny fast, to super slow. Although the initial blink is longer.
