I actually posted quite early that it looked like an American re-design. Well I was at least right that it wasn't the same studio.

What I would like to see, is if the American studio does have a Mk III, and if Toyota is testing market reactions to pick the style they go with. (It's just odd that, as previously stated by others, that the Mk I looks like the production version to the Mk II's concept verion.)
So my theory would be like this: first, pick the conservative design from the three choices to test the market. So the general population like it. then use that design and go with extreme modding to see how much acceptance of the market. Then find the middle ground for the final production. As Aki said, the basic framework should be locked down now at this stage if they still plan releasing the car at year end. As someone pointed out, if you take out those things (vents, front and rear bumpers and lights), the basic frame of the car remains the same so there is probably nothing to worry about.
