That is why they are horror movies not documentaries!

Immortal stabbing machines, things that kill you in your sleep and ghost that crawl out of TVs do not qualify as crossing the threshold of anything goes?

The over all setting and other characters aren't supernatural though. If it was underworld then it'd be whatever. People in other movies just don't make the awful decisions they do in horror movies. That's my big problem with them is just the decision making. Not the horror itself

Me too, but this one was different.

Was trying to explain it to someone after it, the camera shots were done well to keep the subject matter in focus(short depth of field) and the rest blurry(in some shots) which really added to the "depth" of the 3D experience.

So we are back to square one with you kill it and the movie is over. They are not taking place in the real universe so why should people react as they would in reality?

But that's not the subject of the debate. Obviously if they weren't stupid the movie would be over very quickly. But it's not, because they are too stupid for me to watch

If you are trying to apply rational actions to a movie universe situations then even romantic comedies should get that reaction from you.
For the reasons I already stated the actions are not stupid because the situation is equally improbable in the first place.
Please relate to me in detail the rational and smart actions that you personally took (not what you would take but what you actually did) the last time you had to deal with a ghost that killed you I your dreams. How would you deal with that machete wielding being after you put 6 rounds into him and he didn't even slow down?

Headaches here, but that's because it seems I don't normally see in 3D, so my brain isn't used to it. I do have correction to help with that, but I still have to focus - it's only about 1/3 the prism I 'should' have.

So many movies make 3D the thing, and that sucks. Gimmicks and the like. I don't find it ever makes for a better movie - probably because I like to look around, and I can't change/fix focus so it just feels fake.

It was an expensive night... I never want to drink that much again.
