Buying a Totalled Twin

Hey Guys,
I need a 2017 project! And my FR-S needs a little brother/sister!

I want an insurance write off "totalled" twin but I have no idea where to even start looking for one.

I know I can keep an eye on collision centers, etc.
But there has to be a better way.

If you can point me in the right direction, that would be awesome!

Is there a reason you want a totaled one? 2013's used are pretty damn cheap.

Need to check the insurance auctions not the collision centers. Although you may see one at a center they are not the ones that sell them off.

I want to start as cheap as possible.
I'd be removing most of the factory stuff regardless so a used running car is already overpriced.

Insurance auctions.
Like, Geico has auctions?
Wouldn't they use a 3rd party like an auction house or something?

That is what I mean. They don't have auctions themselves but send the cars to auction houses and such that will do a bunch at once. There is one nearby me I will keep an eye out for you.

I have seen few go on sale on copart in Ontario in the past. Keep an eye out on copart website. But, they are usually really messed up. Better luck buying from states, if you can.

You'll come out way ahead buying a solid running one and parting out what you don't need vs buying a written off one and having to repair it.

Hadn't considered that...
What's the fastest way to convert parts into cash though?
These boards, Kijiji, what else?
