As a general rule, I dont use brushes on the paint because it scratches if you look at it the wrong way. There are snowbrushes designed to be "soft" on paint, the bristles look distressed on the end and its soft to the touch.

However, in most places its a ticketable offense if you don't clear all the snow off your car, so I use a "Snow Joe" (www.snowjoe.com, found HERE) which doesnt mess the paint and removes snow a hell of alot more quickly than a brush.

Edit: damn, didn't realize that snowjoe was so cheap. Maybe I'll order one...

I have found that since my paint has aged it no longer comes even close to scratching as easy as it did at first.

You guys realize the Florida and California crews are laughing their asses off at us right now don't you?

Correct, but if the temperature even dips close to freezing, everyone stays home, and those that dont end up in the ditches.

We were in Vegas once when it actually snowed one day. You would of thought it was the apocalypse. I then got to thinking "Doesn't it get cold every night in the winter here? Why is everybody so concerned?" Asked a cab driver and he said simply "Californians".

Electrical question boys: looking at reverse LED bulbs for the 350z... Size is 7440. Vled.com has a 1000 lumen bulb listed, I checked Amazon and there are some full retard bright bulbs available. I expect the brighter bulbs draw more power or something... Can I just put in whatever insanely bright bulb catches my eye or does it really need to stay near vled's 1000 lumen suggestion?

Same here when it snowed in 2008, traffic was a mess.

I was 18, had just purchased my first sports car (240sx). That was fun.

LEDs draw a stupid small amount of current compared to filament bulbs. You'll be safe with pretty much anything.

You might need a resistor if the circuit has a computer controlling it. Underdraw, not overdraw would be the problem.

I wear my Subaru jacket(which I can't find for the life of me online. light gray with reflective lettering and zipper trim) almost no matter how cold it is because I'm only outside for a few seconds going from my car to where ever I'm going and it's heated inside. this way I can keep it on if need be and I don't get to hot or have to worry about carrying around a jacket.

Thanks for the help guys. Looks like I'm just going with the Vled bulbs as the ratings on Amazon for the insanely bright bulbs make me question how accurate their Lumen count really is.

The curse of cold climates right there.

-25*C, now do you wear a light jack or sweater when going somewhere and be cold for the first 10 minutes in the car and while walking to wherever you're going so that you can be comfortable inside? Or do you wear an actual jacket and then be forced to either sweat or inconveniently carry your jacket around?

I used VLEDS..have them for my DRLs, switchbacks and reverse lights, dome light, side markerss, tag lights

high quality bulbs..you get what you pay for in this case with them...they are definitely bright like they claim them to be

the 350Z like our cars isn't picky with led bulbs so you can pretty much throw in whatever you want

Good. Cuz at $33 a bulb I expect a premium product. Diode has some at nearly half the brightness for $45 each

1000 lumen per bulb really? That's blindingly bright even if just turned on for a short time. That's no different than those losers who keep their rear foglight on under clear conditions.

This is my everyday flashlight with claimed 1000 lumen at max setting.
