i'm going to take it to an exhaust shop in the morning and get them to double check. Who knows, there could be a shitty weld that i just cant see.

On the right piping, where it meets the flange that bolts up to the engine block.

from that little sliver of an image, the v2 collector looks about the same as the v1. Personally, I don't know why that would bother anyone purchasing a $350 header.

75% of the performance for 25% of the price.

Fuck it. Good enough for me. Still exceptionally pleased with mine.

From the photo it honestly can't tell anything about the actual collector however it looks like that overpipe flange takes more of a "bend" than the older V1. I'm curious as to why that was done or what kind of testing showed that would work better.

If you're taking about the flange looking minorly bowed outward. You might just be seeing some minor fish-eye type effect from a wider lens used to take the pic. Not saying a cell phone was used but most cell phones use a 24-28mm equivalent lens which can cause this if not corrected in their jpeg processing engine.

for everyone still interested. I am at 1.5 years with this header, still performs the same. Made it through a salted and snowy winter. No issues at all. Might be selling mine this spring because turbo.

There are some kits out there that allow you to keep your headers. I think the JDL kit did, but I am not sure if they still make it. I am trying the Ultimate Racing kit right now (waiting on base map) and I get to keep my UEL headers.
In case you didn't know. I thought they all came with their own manifold (usually EL).
