Anybody have experience with spring rubbers/spacers?

IE:
https://www.amazon.com/Superior-18-1...JPP9NRP4QEXYVF

Brand recommendations? Rubber vs urethane?

Seriously I would only use these for shipping a car; never for driving... they are a band-aid at best and a potential safety hazard. What are you trying to accomplish? In general Urethane will last longer but is less forgiving... contributing to harsh ride. The danger is catching air, unloading the spring, and potentially dislodging or partially dislodging one of these...

Increase the spring rate and ride height to prevent rubbing on bigger bumps. I was aiming for 1/2", which I figure would require a 1" spring rubber. I have to check the coils and see what fits. Might only get a 3/4" in there. I was thinking of the grooved kind and then zip-tying it. I'm not at the race track. Also, not the FRS. Then again, lots of racers use them for different surfaces. Cheaper and easier than swapping actual springs.

I used them (1" grooved) briefly one winter in my lowered Lancer since I wanted more clearance. Were fine until it got too cold and they turned into rock hard doughnuts! Pulled them out and just kept them in case I ever need to clear a wrecker bed or something. They didn't really have a huge impact on ride or handling until it got cold so you probably wouldn't have a big problem with them. I wouldn't give the zip ties much of a life expectancy since the spacers can take quite a beating on a DD.
