That budget... No i7. Maybe no discrete graphics, as long as it's calibrated monitor it should be fine. Not sure whether photo softwsre offloads to the GPU, so that may be a bad idea... Possibly in Jan, Zen will be an option worth considering (or at least put some pressure on prices again)

Yeah... it's a wishful thinking to think desktop will fit ALL those. My emergency laptop is working nicely atm, so I'll be using that til I see good one comes out that fit my wish list.

For now, I need to look into EHD... 5~6tb. Cuz my 3yb almost full
