Been extremely busy with SEMA fast approaching but I did finish up a blog post I've been wanting to complete for awhile now.

The blog post explains the difference between high-performance fans and low profile fans. There is some good information in it, definitely worth a read for anyone looking at a fan setup in this chassis.

Only myself. I'll be there walking around, not as an exhibitor. Our full crew will be at PRI though.

Been helping out Full-Race with their build the past few weeks. Wrapping it up tomorrow in true SEMA fashion haha.

Thanks,
Eric

Received some more photos from the event through Desert Street Scene and Omega Motorsports.

After SEMA I hope to get into the garage and finally get some custom fabrication done that I've been wanting to do for a while now.

Thanks,
Eric

Had some free time while my computer's hard drive took a dump on me, and I got the upgraded motor mounts in the car. With the oil drain in the way for the driver's side, I'm really glad I had the transmission out at the same time.

This is what happens when the trans/engine plug on top of the engine gets hot enough and drops into the bell housing. Didn't hear anything, nor did it ruin drive ability or operation. I was just checking up on the clutch fork and looking at the TOB for some quick routine maintenance and testing and saw this. Cleaned most of it off with a bit of brake cleaner.

*I highly recommend removing it if you're tracking the car or are FI. It will fall in and it will make a mess.*

Thanks,
Eric

Are you talking about this piece?

Is there any issue with removing it?

Would love to see the Velox wing!

Grabbed a shot of the new J-hook rotor replacements. They are awesome quality as expected from AP Racing/Essex. I also bought new NAS hardware.

While the front end was off last weekend, I added some mesh to the fog light inlets. It's not very noticeable, it shouldn't impede flow, and will catch anything large that otherwise may make its way to the rotor.

I sandwiched it between the fog light duct and the 3" hose. The hose clamp holds it in place and it is holding up well so far.

Thanks,
Eric

Got a bit of design work done over Thanksgiving weekend in between a lot of shipping. Designed and rapid prototyped a bell housing cover for the FA20.

Design on mock-up engine we have laying around.

Thanks,

Hey Eric,

I'm using my car for the track only. Never had the engine or transmission out of the car so I have no idea what is shown in the pictures... But I take your recommendation seriously.

Which part needs to be removed? Can you please elaborate?

Thank you very much!

Look at my post right below his, I circled it. You can see it from the top of the engine in the very back under the hood. It's comes out alarmingly easily, just a rubber piece sitting in there.

You can't see it in this picture but this is where it's at.
