ACT CLUTCH CHOICE

Hey guys my OE clutch is slipping and looking for something that would be better so for I've heard ACT is a great quality clutch so I'm looking into the SB7 than I saw SB8 a bit confused.

It looks like SB7 is mainly for street and SB8 is street and mainly racing in a sense. But is that all? Any has experienced with ACT SB7/ SB8, which would you recommend for a boosted car 12psi 300hp. I don't want any chattering for sure though.

Thanks for the useful information 👍

Ps need clutch really soon. It's slipping around 4K rpm so really... really soon

It's not an ACT clutch, but I'd recommend the South Bend Stage 2 clutch. The daily model holds 315 ft/lbs of torque and is still very soft peddle. Others hold upwards of 400 ft/lbs, too.

Yeah I was looking into south bend too but I heard they chatter and I've read people are having great results but I'm a bit low on dough 🍩 lol

You have it on your twin right?
Does it chatter? Are you boosted?

bro, the only difference is the sb7 doesn't come with a light weight flywheel, the sb8 comes with the lightweight flywheel. they are both rated the same. so there decide, do you want a lightweight flywheel or nah?

I have the SB Stage 2 daily, but there is no chatter. Of course, I have the stock flywheel too. And yes I'm boosted haha

Not true. Sb7 comes with streetlite flywheel, sb8 is the prolite flywheel. Both are much lighter than stock. Prolite is the lighter of the two.

Not at all. Only some faint noises around 1800-2100 rpm but go away when accelerating. At idle, it is as quiet as stock. The pedal feel is a bit stiffer, but not too bad. I still drive my car everyday in traffic as well.
