You are right it's a great hobby.

We can mod, but there are so many restrictions if wanting to keep it legal. Just as an example I can't get the wheels I want (Enkei RPF1), because they don't have TÜV approval. I have a limited choice of coil-overs etc etc. Brakepads? Forget being legal!.. As we say here when someone asks for advice: "Do you want to be legal, or do you want to be able to brake?".

This is how you baseline 17 OEM suspension vs.... JRZ, Ohlins DFV, and Tein SRC.

Looks you all are going to have a fun Friday once the sun comes up. Where you all at?

Edit: Lucky SOBs, I am stuck in the office all day. Although i may close early since half my customers took off
for veterans day.

Ironically I'm stuck working, instead of spectating at Super Lap battle.

Grr.

So, I can confirm that a 13-16 intake fits on a 17 MT engine (red manifold). The only issue is that the clip that holds the MAF harness against the intake is in the wrong orientation.

MAF scaling needs to be for 17, not 13.

I know you havent likely had this on the track yet, but i was curious after a couple more weeks if you could share anymore experience on the '17 MY willingness to rotate?

Mid-Corner Dynamics?
Rotation?
Does the car suck back in when you lift? or continue on the line like the Zenki models?

I may be early on these questions, but I am just damn curious.

Mid-corner is understeery off throttle, will rotate on throttle.

Lifting can cause terminal understeer or oversteer, depending on the loading of the suspension when you lift... in most cases it'll understeer.

Not bad! 8 sessions between two tracks, and plenty of laps.

Wear is pretty even with the evaluation set of dampers and a last minute eyeballed at the track alignment. Tire temps had less than 12F total delta across each tire AND all 4 tires.
