It was very difficult not to answer "Pizza".

In all seriousness I always wait until RPMs to drop before driving. Then I stay in vacuum until oil temps come up.

I saw a video recently that said if you are to enter higher revs to start you can warm your engine up faster. I would think this is probably hard on the engine. I will try to find the video to post.

My warm up method is to wait until the idle drops and then drive with the revs below 3,000 rpm until up to temp.

Thumbs up

I turn the key twice to get all the electrical components going (wait like 20 sec) then turn on the engine. It idles at 1500-16500 rpm first then I wait till it drops to 600-650 rpm and drive....however I do not exceed 3500 rpm because I have noticed a funny noise when driving under load with the engine about 1/4 way warm. I notice that I pull quite a bit at low....maybe the ECU adapted to my different driving habits on a cold start? Not complaining.

Simple! How is this even a discussion? Starting a car in the cold has become a mystery to people?

As in, taking a while to crank before it turns over? It's a 2014? Get a new battery. The OEM battery doesn't have the greatest CCA spec when it's new, much less three years old.

Mine, every now and then, takes more cranks to start than normal.

As in, normally it turns over about three times, then starts. Sometimes it turns about 6 times before it starts.

You mean something like that?
