New clutch?
Hey guys, i'm getting an Edelbrock SC soon and i'm starting to look for a new clutch. What would you guys recommend? I'm looking for something similar to stock feel. I actually like my clutches very very loose and not tough at all to push down. I feel like i have more control. Is there a way to maintain that but have a stronger clutch that can handle the supercharger? Thanks for the help.

Ah ok. I thought it would be something i would be switching out soon. I'll keep researching clutches in the mean time and just wait till the OEM one wears out.

When yours goes, I already have the perfect setup. Did 10 of them in the past 2 months. ACT SB7-HDSS and a Velox Clutch fork, and you'll be set.

Will you be running the CARB trim///pump gas///or in other words a "mild" setup? If so, the factory clutch is more than enough to handle it. I'm at 297 whp/238 wtq on a turbo setup and have been fine.

Gonna run the more agressive Delicious Tune till my 6th year and then switching it out for the CARB tune.

Don't know if this is going to help you but I'm running Exedy Stage 1 Clutch on a pretty much stock engine and the clutch feels very similar to stock.

Can I ask what you mean by 6th year? Shellslinger-I plan on switching to the Exedy Stage 1 once my factory clutch takes a shit. PTuning and others have pushed wtq in the high 200's with a Stage 1.

California does not emissions test a new car until 6 years after it's been sold to the original owner. After that it is tested once every 2 years.
No 86's will see emissions testing in California until the summer of 2018, not including a couple of special situations. Expect to see a flood of people selling their catless headers and turbo kits in 2-3 years desperate to get their money back

Also have to remove my front pipe and headers. but yeah thats the idea. Gonna remove those and go back to stock. Flash with CARB tune then put it ALL back on for two more years.
