Bubba suggests you take the cat back off and reinstall the OEM cat back, to see if the noise goes away.

What you say ......??

Thanks but already tried that. No knocking noise with stock catback that's why I'm determined it's the mxp catback just don't know where or how to fix it..😢

OK, so it's the muffler itself that is making the noise.

While it's cooling down ...... right .. ??

Bubba's next suggestion is to take a couple of pieces of wooden shingle and make a couple of wedges. drive the wedges in between the two muffler barrels (just temporary, of course).

See if that stops the cooling down noise.

Come back.

Yep while cooling down is a way to look at it. Btw is the wood shingle suppose to absorb the heat or something?

The shingle just may relieve a stress point that is "clicking" during cool down.

Also check the clearance between those two pipes that look close together.

What is the F bracket and is it as close to the pipe as it appear? is it secured to the pipe with something I can't see?

It appears to be a bracket that holds the driveshaft and it has about one inch clearance

Just heard the noise closer right under the car it's both from midpipe and muffler but there can be an echo between the two.
