Well, I put my money where my mouth is and purchased a 2016 Pure Red BRZ Sport-Tech 6 MT. The dealership offered a screaming hot deal--$26,850 CAD (apparently $500 above triple net) before including Subaru incentives on 2016s--so I couldn't resist.

I will post more information in the BRZ sub-forum on Thursday when I take delivery.

i ordered a 2017 BRZ. No dealer has any 2016 on the lot.

Yes. We have 8 months left on the lease, so we got rid of my wife's Honda Fit and the ATS will become her car. Once the lease is up we will return it and she will get to select something new for herself.

It was just me in the car. My wife couldn't believe it when I called her. She thought I was pulling a prank. I'm not exactly thrilled about having to get a 2017 since the 2016 was such a smoking hot deal, but that's life.

I think it could be an international record. I had literally just finished setting my mirrors and pulling out of the dealership. I wasn't even up to 30 kph when someone came the wrong way down the one way and I had to swerve. The rear end came around, caught the grass and then the car flipped over into the ditch. Total time behind the wheel: 5 minutes? Good times.

I truly am sorry. I have owned and destroyed two of these cars. Neither accident was my fault either, but i came away with no injuries. Still I got enjoy my cars before all this happened. Again, thats a bummer.

At least it was totaled...so its a clean break.

The tow truck was amazed by how well it held up. The roof didn't cave and all the glass was intact. Then again, it could be a function of how slow I was going.

Didn't stay on the scene. I'm hoping one of the dealership cameras picked them up.
