From the desert floor to the top of the peak is only 3000 feet. So, you have a 3000 foot mountain on top of a 5751 foot high desert. I do not think "mountains" ought to be something that Texas should be claiming.

In California, Mount Whitney is 14,505 feet high and rises 10,778 feet from its base. just saying.......

Sorry tennisfreak, but you are a "Texas is the greatest state in the Union" fanboi.

Back on topic. Sorry for going on a tangent.

If you do not want to work around the California Air Resource Board regulations, then you should probably move. NOT TO TEXAS, you'll just find your way back to Cali and cursing the time you spent there.

Was stationed at Ft. Huachuca. I'd take AZ over TX anyday.

You don't have to worry about CARB, just your tires melting to the Tarmac.

Just because you were in an area that was flat does not mean the entire state is.

Weather is entirely subjective and changes on a seasonal basis and can vary wildly depending on physical location (much like California).

So based on your comments I am saying you have had a very limited view of what Texas is like and you are generalizing an entire state on that your very limited exposure.

Also I am not some die hard Texan that thinks Texas is the greatest place on earth. I have been to over 40 of the 50 states and there are many beautiful places to live.
It's like when people judge Arizona based solely on what the weather and such is like in Tuscon or Phoenix.

They're idiots when they do it if they should know better, or just understandably ignorant thanks to certain news organizations blatantly false stereotypes of the entire state.

Kind of like what same said folks do to Texans and Texas, iirc.

Just because I live in Cali, doesn't mean that I know all about it. What I do know is that it's a big state, has the largest economy then any other US state ( even bigger then some countries), has a diverse landscape ( beaches, mountains with snow, Yosemite, $250k houses....and $4 million dollar houses 2 miles away from the $250k house, poverty, homeless, street walkers, crack houses...and even safe houses. It's heaven and hell....in a nut shell. A real nice balance !

The JDL catted header won't pass smog in California because you'll fail the visual inspection. I'm just going to swap back to the stock header for smog when the time comes. For cars that are 2000 and newer, they use an OBD2 scanner and a visual. There is no longer a tail pipe test.
