People vastly overestimate how many cars are sold with the bigger engine/higher trim levels. V8 Mustangs are a surprisingly small fraction of total Mustangs sold, and I don't care if we're talking BMW or Hyundai.

The 86 was designed so it could be sold in every country in the world with minimal changes, literally a slightly reworked tune for European emissions is the only non-trim related mechanical difference I know of aside from RHD/LHD.

Toyota is a business not a charity.

This logic is almost identical to why they won't do FI. Luckily most are reporting good things about running a modest hp bump so the car seems to be built to handle it, no need to spend a bunch of money upgrading clutches, axles, transmissions, wheels/rubber, and chassis bracing.

The car you claim you want is a few clicks away and an afternoon of wrenching. Either do it or stop pretending you aren't another armchair quarterback shit poster.

You got me all wrong dude. I never said I wasn't satisfied with the current 2.0 set up. I am more than satisfied with the simple ecuTech tune I have on it.

All I was saying is that if they are going to up the power somewhat significantly, I would prefer a slight displacement and HP bump. No turbo or SC... NA all the way.

Also, why the fvcking hate?!?!?! Is it really necessary to call me a "armchair quarterback shit poster"... in fact it seems to me that you might want to indulge in some self-reflection...

LSX then? LOL, obviously playing. If you owned 9 of the cars I'm actually surprised. Unless you bought new / slightly pre-owned it is hard to find a clean one without a motor swap anymore. Either that or completely ragged out.

You're right, I'm going to stop posting in this thread and spend all day Saturday under my car, it did not get the development time it deserved this year.

The years of ownership spanned 1996 to 2009.

4x S13 coupe
4x S13 hatch
1x S14 zenki

None were SR. Hell, I even tried competing in the first year of Formula Drift with a nonturbo KA.

Here's a dyno sheet of the GT4, $90k+ Porsche sports car: there's that torque dip right there at 3.5k rpm nearly where it is on the FA20.

If my car made that much torque I wouldn't be complaining. It also wouldn't have been 27k.

If a torque dip is going to effect you it doesn't matter if your total is 10 or 1000.

i can confirm that 991.1S 3.8 has a sizable torque dip you notice in the seat.
it can afford it i guess (no pun), but the principle remains.

Hmm that moment when you realize it doesn't matter what any reviewer or person says.

Our cars are an instant classic and will be loved for years to come
