Door armrest

Anyone had their door armrest rip off from the door panel like in the pic below?

I'll most likely end up bringing to the dealer to repair/replace because I have the protection package that covers the interior, but I'm curious if anyone else dealt with this and knows of a quick fix.

I just took a close look at mine and it looks fine. Also, don't remember reading about this happening to anyone else.

No, mine is just fine.

Should your arms be put on a diet .. ??

Don't lean on it getting in and out of your car ....... get a cane ....

Maybe it comes from resting your elbow on it while talking too much on your cell phone .. ??

Bubba says to put a hair dryer to the area while pushing the two parts together....??

That is a first world problem fer sure ....

humfrz - has bronchitis and is on some powerful meds ......

i use it several times to push myself up in my seat..lay my forearm on it and grab the door handle and push up while my right hand pushes up from the center console

guess it couldn't handle all this muscle mass

I have not noticed any wear on mine yet but I don't ever use it for support.
