I don't drive with anything in my trunk so my baseline is fine.

Now that the 2017 Twin is out and about, does it carry any useless or redundant features?

I think the little gap between the rear spoiler and boot/trunk lid could be one..

the little gap makes it a wing, not a spoiler. Definitely not useless as the aerodynamic effects are very different. Spoilers cut aerodynamic lift generated by the body, wings generate their own negative lift to fight the lift generated by the body.

The old spoiler is a hybrid as it has sections that act as a wing and sections that spoil the air.. notice any difference from the spoiler/wingless variety of the twin?

Not sure it is has been mentioned before but the shift up indicator flashing (3 times no less) at ridiculously low rpm to increase fuel efficiency.

So turn it off. I turned it on just to play with it but the shift points were hilarious and it felt like I was play a game of MT Hero when I tried to hit them right on.

You can't turn off the shift-up indicator without also turning off the shift position indicator.

AHHHHHH yes if you want the position indicator you are sort of stuck with it. I only left it on for a day or two before it bored me and I had had enough binky lights.

I thought I remember seeing somewhere that the shift light was adjustable? Could you just set the shift light to a more appropriate RPM or set it to 7900 and be done with it?

The shift light is adjustable. I set mine for 7100. The upshift indicator and gear indicator are not adjustable, I don't think. I turned that off. I never shift as low as it wants me to, so it's just more flashing information that I don't need.

We have major construction for about 50 miles of my commute right now and they have about 20 of those displays. Every one of them picks me up every single time. And I am lowered.

somehow misses me (ive got the unobtainium coating application ), they have construction between dallas/austin. i sometimes i crank it up about 10 mph over, if theres a gap in traffic in front of me. radar detector screaming all get out but it registers other cars around me.

could very well be the angle in relation to the ground.
