Rating is a 9. I rarely ever give stuff a 10 because there's always some improvement opportunity. Build quality is solid. If you're tall then the bar might be a constraint. I'm 5'10". Above that the ability to recline is snug. I sit pretty upright for proper track seating. Connecting the top horizontal takes some time to construct. Not hard but not room for slop because the measurements are precise. Once in it's great.

I see another harness bar that I thought was less restrictive then this one but I'll have to dig to find it.

@Bramick You know what? I'm leaning towards the Essex harness bar now. Thanks.

Got around to ordering the Essex harness bar and and HPI 6-Point harness ... in the next week or so I'm going to order the Bride Zeta III in red and rails. Down the line I'll decide on whether or not to include a second seat.

Went with the Essex because all my research showed it was the highest quality bolt-in harness bar currently available for the 86.

The harness bar is not a JDM part but it fits my quality vs price standards. The HPI 6-Point harness definitely is JDM. Can't wait to get these installed!

Car looks like a work of art buddy! You really transformed this car into something people can just appreciate.

Also...for some reason....your car going up onto the trailer looks classy haha

Thanks for the compliment on the build! It has been a lot of fun building my 86...in fact, I've enjoyed this build much more than my 350Z build.

I loved talking to the educated and experienced builders and enthusiasts at Wekfest Houston... I got the feeling that they appreciated the quality of my build. Such a response adds to my positive experience with this build.

I love that candid shot of my bud and I unloading my 86...rollingclassics did a great job capturing that moment.

More quality coming as I start to work on my interior. I've ordered a few parts already!

I received my Essex harness bar this week... I have to say I am very impressed with the quality of the bar all the way down to the provided hardware. I didn't see installation instructions so I assume they are provided on their website. I'm glad I went with this bar over the alternatives.

I finally got around to ordering my Bride seat, rail, and side airbag cancellers. I can't wait to get everything installed. I am planning on getting the exposed portion of the harness bar painted Beatrush gold.

My HPI 6-Point harness should arrive tomorrow. It is black with red stitching... my seat will be a red Zeta III... so the belts will contrast well against them.

I'm still debating on whether to make a rear seat delete, buy one, or not have one at all.

TBH, save yourself some money and just remove the rear seats. I keep my folded down usually and it looks perfectly fine. if you actually remove the rear seats, maybe get some felt and line the bare metal portions to make it look nicer

I like that idea I'll definitely consider it... thanks! I would however add a panel to separate the interior from the trunk if I decided to go this route.
