It's good for about 21 lbs of weight reduction from a stock catback, without compromising aero. It's insanely loud without cats, but for now, it's okay.

Now, you do understand Mike....that if you install that exhaust....well, there goes your warranty.

I know you were an advocate for a thicker rear sway on stock '13 - '16 models to help us track guys dial out the understeer and get a little more rotation in the turns.

I know this may take some time to sort out while you are breaking the car in......but share when you can.
I won't know until I baseline a stock 17 BRZ. I have a rather tight timeline, so I may or may not be able to do that with my car, but I know the opportunity will come along sooner or later.

First BRZ/86/FRS for me, although I think I've racked up over 100k miles between various shops' cars, private coaching clients, setup consultations, and friends' cars.

One of those "could still be produced" exhausts... if there is demand...

This is less than half the weight of the MXP SP. It's all Titanium.

Lemme guess...
Tein something or other, unless you spring for Penskes
AP sprint BBK
JRSC - custom EcuTek tune
Lots of cooling
Some aero
17x9 wheels - forged, so not rpf1
upgraded radiator and big-ass oil cooler
hood venting
maybe a clutch
pmu pads, of course

How far am I off?

Those are just the things Mike seems to sell or recommend the most. As a dual purpose car, the stock suspension is great. As a track weapon, you need to do a lot of work, especially when adding HP.

I haven't done anything on a closed circuit yet, but I've gotten the tires making noise without VSC kicking in yet.

While the damping isn't critical from the factory (it's designed more for comfort), the balance seems to be much closer to neutral than before.

I probably should have hopped on the skidpad before I left work today.

This just shows, that we are all good listeners....to what you have to say Mike.

However, you havent steered me wrong yet. In fact i can think of two times when i went against your advice, only to have to back track after problems arose...and then proceeding the way you originally had mentioned.

So i have learned, that you have learned from your 100k plus (Track?)miles on the 86 platform.

The fact that even after all those miles and time spent working on the cars Mike still went with one as his personal vehicle says more to me than all the promotional hype ever written by Subaru/Toyota!

I had this thought myself, but it is very true and needed to be said.

Mike, I am curious though...were there any other cars you were considering?

Besides a 3rd S2000
