I guess aside from my house it's the most expensive thing I own (at least solely) so I've been trying to keep it nice.

You still can kiss her, bite her neck, wisper dirty things on her ear (or how much you like her/love her) and many things

It would take a long time to get ROI from a $2,000 car financially if considering just fuel mileage over the FR-S.

I'll give you a real world example, that I track in my Owner's Journal, Post #1.

My previous daily driver was a 2001 Chevy Astro. Over 280,000 miles it averaged 17.5MPG.

My FR-S over 90,000 miles has averaged 33MPG.

That's about a 46% increase in fuel mileage.

In the 4.4 years I've owned the FR-S it has saved me an estimated $6,225 in gas, or about $1,414 a year over my previous DD. This is calculated based on the cost of fuel for the FR-S adjusted for the cost of the 87 I would use in the Astro.

To get the same savings ($1,414 per year) over the FR-S I would have to get a vehicle that got 48MPG. Not impossible, but probably unlikely for a $2,000 car.

Should I be able to do that, it would still take me almost 1.5 years to recoup the cost of the $2,000 car and that assumes it needs no work besides maintenance (also unlikely).

Very true. What I really want as my commuter vehicle, but until I can get it the FR-S is pretty close....

Now on to the tough question: How many FR-Ses can you fit inside a 2001 Chevy Astro? I'm going with 2.67.

Follow up: Is that the correct way to pluralize FR-S? Never thought about it before.
