Unfortunately this isn't the case for KW v3s. Bought the 2" raceseng rear top mounts with my coilovers and it top spring perch is actually 2" higher than the stock tops. There is not enough height adjustment in the coilover to get the car to a ride height that isn't slammed without heavily preloading the spring.

Shoot, I forgot how short a spring KW uses sometimes, we had to make a spacer for my dad's car and his clubsports to get the car high enough to not rub, we were also basically fully compressing the helper spring. We had a machined aluminum replacement for the piece that goes between the helper spring and the main spring that was ~3/4" thicker iirc.

Ideally you'd get a longer main spring, but at ~$120 on a setup you just spent thousands of dollars on that's a damn shame. And getting spacers fabbed up is a good chunk of that money anyway. Good luck.

Edit: you might be able to offload the KW springs at $40/ea or so to ease the pain if you decide to switch to longer springs.

Even with the 1" top hats I still feel like it would make the car too low. I had thought about getting LCAs that had a drop built it to offset the problem, but the shaft on the KWs is too short to even do that. Stock mounts are going back on today. I'm really not too worried about it because the stock mounts are really sturdy and you don't reuse the rubber spring perch spacer with the coilovers.

The difference between the 1" and 2" Raceseng tophats won't solve your spring/ride height problem as they maintain the same spring mounting location.

If the car rides harsh on the stock rear top hats at your lowered ride height it's likely that the rear end is deep into the bump stops causing a stiff ride and you might investigate the top hats again.

You're right. I didn't realize that the 1" mounts had the same mounting point. Definitely stock tops for me.
