Yep. And there are people with FRSs that have had $5k repair bills for blown engines. On average some cars cost more to repair than others but if you take all the ones that don't require huge repairs into account then it probably averages out lower than the extremes. No doubt that if you have to repair a German car it is going to cost you more but there is nothing saying you will ever have to repair it at all.

Like anything the people with issues speak up and those without remain silent which can totally skew the perception. Mind you I have never owned a new German car since I think they are all ugly as sin so I really have no idea how good or bad they are and am just playing the averages game.
