Because everyone is so caught up in asking to turbo this car which I really feel it doesn't need it, I'd rather it stay true to what the AE86 was all about.

OK. While you're at it, complain about the "Prius tires" not being sticky enough.

FR-S oversteer, BRZ understeers, magazines said so, I'm buying an FR-S because I like drifting better than fail-wheel-drive understeer.

2013/14 models though, right? 2015/16 had it's suspension revised and doesn't seem to be as tail happy as before.

I have never driven a BRZ in anger, so I wouldn't know, but on the track, with how I drive, the FR-S power oversteers a lot more than it ploughs into corners. If I'm going too fast and just turn the wheel, it will understeer. If I go in slow and then try to power through, I oversteer. Removing junk from the trunk makes it worse.

MR-2/spyder, S2k , NSX, Miata MX-5 : these can all be fun sports cars to drive (fun in similar or different ways) , however they are all strickly 2-seaters and have very low versatility.

Maybe one of the reasons on the Miata clatter , is due to how light weight the car is (not sure the actual weight between generations of Miata) , but pretty sure it is less weight then the BRZ/FR-s 2700 lbs.

Not sure about that. What it really needs is a 20B-REW paired up to a 9 speed DCT and all wheel drive. Maybe some speed holes in the front hood too.

I'd buy one 6th hand and do a T56 RWD conversion for $10k.

A rotary would throw way the reliability of the car. 230 to 250 n/a would be more than enough for this car.

People say the same thing about putting a Subaru boxer engine in it.

Completely agree. Honda increased the displacement to 2.2L to improve torque delivery for the S2000 in mid-cycle update 12 years ago. I am disappointed that Toyota/Subaru didn't learn from it.
