I looked over several sites and didn't see her picture anywhere .....

In California, there are three levels of public colleges: junior college, California State University (CSU), and University of California (UC). I have degrees from each system. They're actually all great, but there's quite a bit more respect for the UCs. Schools with "State" in their name get little love in California.

For instance, the absolutely lowest ranked UC school is UC Merced. It's so bad, in all my college counseling days, I've never had a single student even apply. It only gets worse from there, like down at #176 with atrocities to education like Ball State University and Mississippi State University.
