do you know how much air is the supercharger flowing on hks v3? Since MAF measures flow/volume of air, I think MAP measures pressure but do not know which role does this particular pressure sensor play in the the tune of the car. I also purchased a omni 3bar but have yet to install it, i believe there is a way to stimulate pressure... Thank you.

Renesis I didn't say it but you will have to change your engine Oil too.
I m driving with Motul Xcess 5w40 engine oil. FR link https://www.motul.com/fr/fr/products...00-x-cess-5w40 UK link https://www.motul.com/fr/en/products...00-x-cess-5w40 I saw on internet some guyz with S/C configuration & 5w20 engine oil... but I think it s a deadly solution for your rod bearing shell. I let you do your idea. ;-)

@Torry@HKSUSA I just recently went from running 43mm restrictor on my V2 to no restrictor. Went from 9psi to 11psi. Currently just ironing out the top end fueling.. otherwise all is well (other than this being an extremely peaky setup)
I had a talk with HKS USA on the phone first. I called them to ask what to expect boost wise and get a few unknowns sorted. They basically wrote my V2 kit off as defunct, pushed the V3, told me that taking my restrictor out would do nothing (that was a lie) and that I needed to buy a new pulley (that was a lie) and then linked me to the wrong pulley type and wrong pulley size. It's absolutely unreal the difference in support you get between HKS Japan, whom I dearly appreciate and admire, and HKS USA who has either ignored emails or as stated above -- basicially tried to get me to buy new product or get off the phone. Absolutely brutal.

I manage the front end of a shop and communicate very clearly -- it's essential. The tone of the answers I got back were bad -- I knew whoever I was talking to just had zero interest in the situation. This is the second time I've had to go ahead with a job in the dark because of a lack of response after directly speaking to someone at HKS USA. I sent an email to customer support on September 14th and it has also gone unanswered as well. It's just the shits. I am a die hard advocate of HKS products but there's two different bodies of this company -- one that is super interested in helping but requires jumping through language and time zone barriers -- and another that's put me in this situation.

my V2kit makes 14psi without restrictor. ( 11~12psi with 43mm restrictor) http://www.datazap.me/u/yobiwan/sc-d...9&zoom=266-327 but boost level in supercharger is dependent on altitude ( IAT & exhaust setup too ) I checked boost level at 50~100m from sea level. I think you live at very high area.

Will this work with the canned tune from HKS on 93 octane? I'm still confused on what this is needed for. Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Also, the HKS Flash Editor *is* able to write a new map to it if you take it to a Pro Dealer. There are 3 slots in the FE. One has the HKS 91 tune, one has the HKS E85 tune, and one is open. The open slot is where we write the 93 tune to if you send it in. But a Pro Dealer can write any tune to that third slot. It doesn't have to be the canned 93 tune from HKS. You could have a custom 93 tune put on, but again this must be done from an HKS Pro Dealer because you have to have the software to write to it. |

A good question
Quote:
But I m a bit confused. The MAF is installed on the air filter box, right ? ![]() The MAP is installed on the top of the Engine, under the cover, right ? ![]() We speak about the MAP that need to be changed. The canned tune from HKS is setup to run on the stock MAP sensor ? Maybe HuntingtonFRS did a mistake... As I did ...

What mistake would I have done? I am running stock MAP and MAF. I'm just trying to understand the point of the MAP (with a P) and when it is needed/is it plug and play or tune required. HKSusa seems to always misunderstand what people are saying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
