In regards to the steering wheel mounted buttons though, I find them a bit mushy to press... Maybe its just me? I would have to press twice sometimes for songs to change/volume to go up.

Would love to hear others thoughts.

I think the mush is completely intentional, a crisp button would probably actuate more easily and i think that would result in unwarranted presses. You'd hate the newest gen WRX; same mushy feeling with twice the travel.. which is probably why i like the ones on the BRZ so much lol.

Pre-17 BRZs should be the same exact steering wheel as the FRS, just a different emblem. Good to hear your feedback

Good to know. It seems that the new steering wheel feel is different from everyone's perspective. I think I might check out a 2017 if one shows up at my local dealer to see all the new features.

The 2017 steering wheel is smaller in diameter than the 2016.

2017 steering wheel is 3mm smaller *wink

I believe it's the same size as the TRD steering wheel? Just wild guess... cuz TRD one felt smaller.

Just felt the 2016 brz steering wheel at the dealership..The 9 and 3 felt thicker than the 2017, and not just barely, but pretty significantly.. The 2017 does look a little smaller though.

Hahaha we talked about that but in the end I allowed it because I wanted you guys to get the best video.
