When I get in the car the gauge is usually around the ambient temp. Yesterday the ambient temp was 90F when I got in the car and the gauge was in the 80's. It went up to around 150ish after driving for about 45 minutes. I think the hottest I've seen it this summer is 180. I've only had the gauges since the middle of May. The sweep on all my temp gauges is 60-260F, and I had them made at Speedhut. Yesterday my engine oil was about 200, the trans was 180, and the water was 195ish. I hope this helps.
