Haha I have a 74' Lincoln, the lag time is about a half rotation of the steering wheel.

I think the problem is not as progressed in the Fusion for sure. You turn the wheel, and there is a slight delay before anything happens.....gee I hope it doesn't get any worse!

Steering lag is a safety mechanism, the car is asking its driver "are you sure you want to negotiate a turn?"

I don't negotiate with turns! I execute them.

I wish my car second-guessed everything I tried to do in it.

Anyhow, yeah. I've noticed this on mine. Not all the time, though. I've searched but nothing comes back.

What I'm concerned about is I'm beginning to think my car doesn't like me. While I agree with @Tcoat that the turning seems to be normal and nothing to be concerned about, I have noticed that when I turn the car left, it tries to throw me to the right. The faster I drive the harder it tries to throw me.

It also tries to strangle me with the seat belt if I hit the brakes too hard.

I just can't figure out what I did to piss it off. Must be because I named it Olivia, just so temperamental.

Not as random references as it may appear. You need t keep up with recent events to get them though.
