Looking into getting 18x8.5 +33 on RSR lowering springs. Will this have a lot of poke or be flushed fairly well?

yes, but if I'm running lower control arms and toe links, I can pull the poke to where I want it to be and ill be running alot of camber as well. so it will give me more room to play with and get it to where I want to sit. correct?? thank you for the input though man. right now my offset is at +21 in front and +26 in rear. just wanting a more aggressive fitment. |

You should look into going widebody, at least front (TODOROKI) if you want that aggressive |

I'm learning lots from all of my reading on here, and wanted to ask a fitment question.
Trying to stay as close as possible to standard ride height, what would the modifications needed to try to fit 17"x9" up front and 17"x10" rear, given that any offset is available, what would be the optimal offset front and rear? Thank you! |

Noob suspension question. Ok so I'm on TRD springs on OEM shocks, and right now I'm running 18x7.5 +38 with 235/40/18 in the front, and 18x8.75 +33 with 255/40/18 in the rear. I only rub in the rear of the outer fender on big dips going above +50MPH , and not the the strut at all.
If I run 18x8.5 +33 all around with the same tires, I know the front will clear, but will the rear still rub since I'm at the same offset? And would I be able to add -1.5 camber in the front and rear and clear the front and rear strut?

You will gain about 3mm of clearance, both on inside and outside. LOok and find out where you rub, it is probably the rear bumper tab, and unlikely the fender. Look at the size/shape of the rubbing on the bumper tab and see if that extra 3mm of clearance is enough. 255/40-18 is a bad size tire that is way too tall, that is mustang size. 245/35 or 255/35 is a much better choice. Rear you should be good if you add camber, are you adding -1.5 or -1.5 total? you should be good either way. Front you should be ok too, but it will be about ~10mm(or less) from rubbing the strut. It also depends on the tire width also. If anything 3-5mm spacer would give more clearance. I would tell you to mount them and then stick your phone under and take a pic to see how close you are before adding camber. |

Same offset wheels, the tires just get pinched by a more narrow rim.

The problem isn't your wheel. It is the diameter of the tire and the limited clearance on stock struts. 255/40-18 are too tall. Get rid of them. Or keep on trying to fit those bad size tires with other, more expensive fixes. Or just deal with the rubbing. http://www.frsproject.com/ I am done here. Maybe someone else can help. Good luck. |
