I'll drive around for the next 2 days smelling gasoline (which I oddly like) then drop the car off Tuesday morning for continued troubleshooting. Kinda frustrating but at least the car is still working, compared to the major issues I've seen on here and elsewhere.
So they fucking guessed? It's stupidly easy to test those things. Pathetic.

I forgot about hairbrushes and slippers!

My mom had brushes with metal handles and holy hell those hurt.

Surprised that chopsticks don't give me PTSD.

Wait until college. Make sure you go to a real university that requires a decent mix of liberal arts no matter what the major. It's worth it.

*shrug*

Dunno, didn't bother to ask how they knew it was the fuel sending unit. They said it was broken and simply sloshing around in the tank (my recollection could be off).

I'm not too worried because its only costing me little time outta my day, dealership is only 3 miles from my house. Hope they figure it out before I head back to work and before track day on the 14th.

It's a lifestyle thing. Your very first jobs will be the most expensive because you'll be buying lots of basic tools.

If you need a tool to do the job properly, don't think twice. Buy it. You will use it again.

Always refer to the factory service manual. A Haynes manual is a distant second but it may also offer some tips not given in the factory publication.

If someone on the internet says it'll take an hour, budget for two or three.

I just spend 1300$ on tools and thats just a basic set up, 111 peice wrench and ratchet set, electric impact gun and some sockets for the gun. Very very basic set but it will last me a life time

Buy a project car??

Im not really a car person as much as I am a computer person. I learned how to build and fix computers by jumping into the deep end, if you will. Suppose the same can be said about cars, though much more complex than a box with hardware.

Then again, a very competent mechanic can say a car is simply a metal box with... a bunch of hardware.

Spend good money for good tools, not cap from auto zone. Craftsman is totally decent. Check ebay for everything before buying. Ratcheting wrenches are AMAZING. Obviously everything is metric so you don't necessarily need standard sockets but sometimes you need deepwell sockets. I suggest getting them in sets cuz you'll need that one that one time and it's a pain to drop everything and go to Sears. Also sets are cheaper. A universal joint it's great to have. 3/8 drive ratchets are fine but a 1/2 is needed sometimes. Get a extending magnet thing to pick up bolts you dropped too
