I was talking just the trac since that was what he was referring to all along.

In my car you sure can turn off the Trac and VSC while moving at any speed.
And it will stay off (unless I 'nearly' spin the car on the ice, but that is another story)

I tried to turn it off during straights, but it just won't. later on, i forgot about the whole thing until we are on the road. I remembered and try to see if i can turn it off while cruising. It didn't. pressing the button many times and tried to hold it down, it just wont turn off... VSC Sport work just fine.

So once we got to a traffic light, i tried again, and this time light came on(trac off) and also held it down for 5 sec to turn it full off, and it worked. I started moving, it worked until i got above 30mph, nothing happened above that, doesn't matter how many time i press it. Drop speed back down, it worked again... my friends in their BRZ/FRS told me they can turn it on while at any speed(we were cruising together).

Has anyone else had this problem?

Edit: additional info. Just got new wheels and tires. TPMS warning light would flash for a bit and then stay solid. This happened while I was driving thinking the car finally figured out there is no sensor on the wheels. Now it flash everytime I start the car and turn solid

The manual and I were referring to just the traction control. He stated in the OP and throughout that it was the traction he was trying to turn off.

By chance do you guys who can't turn it off at speed have an automatic transmission? Because with a manual transmission I can turn it off at any time at any speed. Just hold the left button (the one labeled OFF) for five seconds and the traction control STAYS off.
